My Envy Box | India Mon Amour | August 2015 Edition

So finally, I got myself subscribed to My Envy Box and today I received my first one. The August 2015 theme is India Mon Amour which means India my love. Obviously the special edition runs parallel with the Independence Day Month.

So lets take a peek and see what all I received!

Forest Essential Iced Pomegranate & Kerala Lime Body Mist 50ml// a very light and refreshing body mist from the premier luxury Ayurvedic brand Forest Essentials. It smells very zingy and is perfect for a use immedieatly after shower. Full size 100ml is for INR975.

Soultree Ayurvedic Kajal 3gms(full size)// It smudges badly, I hate it. Period. Price INR450 (meh!)

Suganda Neem Green Tea Plant Mask (full size)// This powdered face mask apparently costs INR900 for a 60gm tacky looking . My only question is WHY? If I need a powdered mask I’d rather buy it from Khadi. They cost INR90 for 60gms and by no means less that any powdered mask. Not really impressed by it, nor am I looking forward on using it. But if by some miracle it turns out to be awesome. I will let you know.

PS – expensive powdered masks are useless unless they have a specific active agent in them. So blowing 900 bucks for it will never be a wise decision.

Hedonista Dehn Al Oud (full size)// I love how Oud smells. Musky, woody, very sexy and enthralling, so obviously I am loving this perfume. It reminds me of the Poison series by Dior. Although it was completely melted when I received it, but then I blame it on the weather of the place I live in. Very excited to use it, especially because Autumn in here! Well almost 😉

Overall, I am not quite impressed whit this months box. They could have included brands like Kama Ayurveda instead of Soultree. Actually Kama Ayurveda’s absence surprises me a lot, as Forest Essential and Kama are the only two proper luxury brands from India. I mean, include a Kama Ayurveda candle(INR500)! They really need to up their game.
I hope they bring in real luxury brand samples next time. Fingers crossed!
xoxo

  • Wow gorgeous pics. Packaging looks so thoughtful!!!

  • So honest. Loved the review. I totally agree on all the points. Both Fabbag and Envy box or any other beauty box samples from brands whose full size products are exorbitantly priced, and not worth the money.
