Drugstore Must Haves | Skincare Edition

Recently my daily picks involve a lot of drugstore products, especially in the bath & body and skincare department. So I decided to round up few of my favourites that you should definitely give a try. I was initially doing a to 5 but clearly went overboard. These products are so amazing that high end products may be put to shame. So here are my current favourite drugstore finds in skincare and bath & body.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water// I raved about this products in my second to last post. I am in love with this cleansing water. This one is a straight up dupe for Bioderma, some bloggers even find it better that its expensive counterpart.

Nivea Smooth Sensation Moisturising Souffle// This is the best drugstore body butter/soufflĂ© I have come across. It costs a mere INR 265 and it works as good as any body butter from TBS. The only minus is that it smells like every other Nivea product. So if you fancy floral/gourmand smelling body butters them well, this might not be for you. But at this price, you have to try it once!

Neuterogena Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover// This works! Removes my waterproof mascara gently and effectively. Although my favourite bi-phase cleanser/makeup remover is by Clarins, this works almost equally well. This is very gentle that you may even use it to remove makeup from all over your face. Highly recommended! Priced at INR 350

Natio Restore Anti-Oxidant Face Serum// Okay so this is a little pricey at INR 1600 but is considered drugstore nonetheless (cheaper that The Body Shop 🙂 ). I am really enjoying using this serum (on my second bottle now). This makes my face so supple/plump/hydrated/bouncy, like really! I love the results it is giving me. Will always be stocked up on this gem.

Pantene Pro-V Lively Clean Shampoo//  The best drugstore shampoo I have come across that helps remove product buildup on you scalp effectively. If you use loads of hair serums, sprays or even dry shampoos, there comes a time when the scalp starts feeling all gunky and stuffy. I hate that feeling. This is what I use on those days, and then I can really feel my scalp breath. Just make sure you don’t use it daily or even alternatively. Keep it for those gunky “special days”. Too much use may cause dry hair.

Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti Ageing Day Cream SPF 15// 50g for INR 800 is almost too expensive for drugstore daily moisturiser. But this cream is really good. It is a great daily basic moisturiser. Do not let “anti-aging” sign worry you. Its is okay to use even if you are in your early twenties. This is very moisturising without being oily and has an SPF of 15 making it great for daily usage. Plus, works great under any BB Cream/Tinted moisturiser of foundation.

Nivea Whitening Roll-On// Forget about the “whitening” claim, that it doesn’t do. What it does do is NOT darken your under arm like the spray on deos do. Hence, you get fairer underarms. What I like about this is that it is a roll-on, comes in a sturdy glass packaging that is travel friendly as well and it helps keep the BO away! I would love to have a more organic/natural roll on someday. But as long as this is the best option in drugstores in India – I will love this.

Palmolive Thermal Spa Skin Renewal Shower Cream// Move over The Body Shop, Bath and Body Works, Soap & Glory and Victoria’s Secret – we are going head on with the likes of L’Occitanes and Laura Merciers of the bathing world. This shower cream is Oh my word..the best. I love it more that any shower cream that I have used yet, and that includes many luxury ones. It smells incredible, has crushed coconut as scrub and Jojoba Butter as the milky creamy buttery shower cream. It gives a luxurious smell and even luxurious lather. I have gone through so many bottles of this and I still can’t have enough! For INR 145 it is the bloody bargain. If you have not tried it yet, you have to buy it TODAY! Trust me!

So these are the drugstore products that I have been using for years. I am a big fan if these. If you have tried any of these before do let me know your experience, if not, then I request you to try them out!
