5 years ago British Make-Up Artist Lisa Eldridge posted a Skincare video on her YouTube channel titled “My Skincare Routine”. There she mentioned this French Pharmacy product, a micellar water makeup remover, Bioderma Sensibio – and therefore causing a global phenomena- where all, be it makeup mavens or makeup amateurs, wanted that in their skincare shelves.
5 years since, Bioderma still stands undefeated in its glory, though many a brands – high-end or drugstore have come out with their own versions of micellar waters. They are either too expensive or too meh in comparison.
I see a lot of bloggers/YouTubers talk about how hard it is to get Bioderma. Thankfully, here in India, we have Nykaa.com doing the great deed and providing us with easy access to it. Also, I think, at INR 860 for a 250ml bottle, it is rather cheap compared to other countries (costs £10.5 in the UK).
Anyway, the point of this blog post is thatI wanted to mention two of my favourite “other micellar waters”, these are I ones with whom I cheat on the Bioderma (yes, I used “the” before Bioderma, I think it has earned it!)
Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water// £4.99 for 400ml. Works just like Bioderma. Infant, I think, it takes lesser time in dissolving waterproof mascara than the former. You can grab a bottle of this at FeelUnique.com where you get free shipping on orders above £10 and the items get delivered in 15 days in India (to interior places, faster delivery in metros).
PS – Garner Micellar is on 34% off at FeelUnique right now! Grab it before it goes out of stock!
L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Micellar Water// £4.99 for 200ml . Although available at FeelUnique, for some strange reason they don’t deliver L’Oreal to India. I got my bottle from another UK website called AllBeauty.com on sale for a mere £2, but sadly it isn’t available there anymore. Although I did see it being sold on Flipkart.com but off course on double the price (still less than Bioderma)
This one isn’t my favourite as it kind of leaves my skin drier compared to Bioderma and Garnier one. But I must add, it the best when it comes to removing waterproof makeup!
