Tigi Bed Head Urban Anti-Dotes Recovery 2 Shampoo | Review

“You’ve dyed, you’ve fried, so take your dull hair to the bright side! Hydrates dried-out strands, protects colour from fading, and prevents pesky split ends. Help moisture-deprived hair to the ultimate recovery.”

I have been using the Tigi Bed Head Urban Anti-Dotes Recovery Shampoo for years now, and let me tell you how much I am in love with it.
First of all I would like to mention that this shampoo and conditioner duo smells so good. It’s like lime and sugar mixed with strawberries. The smell, it’s so intense that you can sniff it on your hair for hours.
Now onto my hair –
I have super dry cactus-y hair and ever since I started using this, my hair’s texture has improved drastically. They are much softer and “calmer”now.
I have cut down upon the frequency of washing my hair and now I wash my hair only twice a week (unless required). This one, despite being super moisturising, does not weigh my hair down hence making it easier for me to maintain my 2 wash per week rule.
I must add that there have been review of this shampoo weighing down light textured hair. Some people have termed this one “too heavy”and “too moisturising”. But this kind of works for me for my dry hair. The shampoo makes the hair really clean. It lathers nicely so that it’s easy to wash my hair thoroughly and it does not leave that nasty residue that makes hair look clumpy because of product buildup (ah..ahem..Dove)
It is the conditioner that is the magic creator here. This goopy pale greenish yellow creamy conditioner magically (OK I know there is no actual magic…it is the product) transforms my hair into cloudy softness and I am not exaggerating here guys!
My only gripe with this product is the size of conditioner. The shampoo comes in a 250ml tube and the Conditioner in a 200ml. I always end up finishing the conditioner first and that sucks. I really wish the companies would understand that we need MORE of CONDITIONER and LESS of SHAMPOO!
Anyhoos, I will definitely recommend this shampoo and conditioner duo. If your hair is dry and you don’t mind your hair smelling like sweeties, then sure go for it.
Shampoo – INR700
Conditioner – INR 850
Rating – 4.5/5 (..and that is a lot coming from me :P)

PS – Is it only me who ends up finishing the conditioner first? Just asking!

Also, what up with Indian online websites selling Tigi products at so much higher rate? I would suggest buying it from your nearby departmental store. I bought mine in Dehradun at the Kumar’s Store next to Melting Moments (just a tip for my fellow Doonite girlies 😉 )
