After a visit to the mother of all beauty stores – here I am with an obligatory haul post with obligatory Soap & Glory purchases!
Okay all this was not bought in one single trip, hence two bags in first pic.
Off course, on Day1 I obviously stalked the Soap & Glory counter, and after much brainstorming picked up 2 of their products Clean On Me Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel and Hand Food.
I had also picked up and eyebrow pencil from The Face Shop, but somehow I can’t seem find it 🙁
Day2 was more fun as I picked up the Roberto Cavalli EDP gift box, which has a body lotion in it. I have been wanting this perfume for years but could never get my head around the hefty price tag. The gift box was on a “special offer” so price was decently reduced, so I grabbed it without question.
I also picked up few makeup bits – YSL Faux Cils Volume Effect Waterproof Mascara (repurchase, its amazing), Dior Diorskin Nude in 020 Light Beige and The Face Shop Face It Waterproof BB cream with SPF 50 in Light Beige.
Two makeup removing/cleansing items magically “fell” into my bag – the Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser and Sephora Express Cleansing Wipes.
Now, the product I am most excited about – Oscar Blandi Pronto Invisible Volumising Dry Shampoo. I have heard so much about this product that when I laid my eyes on it, I had to have it!
One thing, I was wondering whether I should mention or not, is that I really wasn’t impressed by one particular SA in Select City Sephora. I asked him if they stocked the Formula X nail polish the reply was “there is no such product in existence” the guy actually laughed. Then I ask if they had more shades in the Sephora Cream Lip Stain range -except for the only shade (Infinite Rose) that was there – he said that it comes in only one single shade! Now either he doesn’t know jack about the company he works for, or he was just being a smug a**, I believe it was the latter.. He was the one who chose to attend me.
It is really infuriating when SA behave like the one’s from that scene in movie “Pretty Woman” ..haha don’t worry, I am not comparing myself to Julia Roberts…you see what I mean…I mean, they are totally mean and smug sometimes. Dude, if you are tired or have a headache, let someone else attend the client, you sit-down and rest. I have also worked in retail, and I never would behave like this with any customer.
Also, Sephora needs to up its game and stock up on the brands available. Like Soap & Glory has only 50% of the launched products, mostly Bath and Body, no makeup except for Motherpucker.. I want my Archery Pencil, Solar Powder etc etc! Similarly, many new launches were absent from counters of most brands…for goodness sake! You are Sephora!
Although, a big shoutout to all the SA’s in Sephora Ambience Mall – they were very sweet, helpful and most important, gave me space to shop/look around.
I really wan’t to know if any of you had a less than fun experience at City Select Sephora?
Till next post girls!
