End of March..and the favourites are here!
This month was about new discoveries with an amazing highlighter, superbly smoothing and moisturising lip balm, a quickie eyeshadow tint and a mascara with a little weird wand.
This month was also about going back to old faithfuls like a favourite foundation of mine, a compact and a beautiful spring perfume!
Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne EDP//The best rose based perfume I have ever smelled! It’s electrifying!! Probably because of the infamous vinyl note in it. It isn’t for everyone. Some loathe it, but those who love it, are its die-hard fans, and I am one of them. The decadent rose and peony, the sharp vinyl, the fruitiness/tartness of blackberry and cranberry with the sweetness of sandalwood..add on top the masculine flavour of vetiver, musk and patchouli…it is the perfect night time spring fragrance!
Korres Lip Butter in Mango //One of the best lip butter I have tried in the recent past. It is supremely moisturising, totally melts on your lips and has a tad bit of tint in it (this Mango one is a bright Orange). What I love most is the gel like butteriness that spreads all over your lips without any sort of stickiness. I especially prefer using it during spring/summer for that little hint of colour on your lips for a fresh look.
Clinique Even Better Makeup //A brilliant foundation for almost all-skin-types. It provides light coverage which is easily build able to medium. It doesn’t stick to dry patches, does not cake-up even if you apply multiple layers. It sets to a semi-matte finish, yet is moisturising and looks quite glowy.
Makeup Academy ColourBlast Eyeshadow Tint//Okay, let me start by stating the obvious, these are “tints,” therefore not too pigmented. But they are pigmented enough to provide a splash of gorgeous colour on your eyelids. The come in a chubby stick form and are super travel friendly. Love the packaging. I have it in the shade Bring it Back which is a metallic brown with teeny tiny golden specks in it. It works perfectly well as primer too. On the application it takes about 10 seconds to set giving you enough time to work it through your eyelids. It is available on Jabong right now for 551 bucks but I I would suggest you to buy it from the MUA Store Online where right now it is being sold for £1.00.
Victoria’s Secret Very Voluptuous Extreme Volume Mascara//This mascara gives the perfect volume and definition to my lashes. The best part about this is its rubber bristled wand, it sure takes your lashes to another level. I got it off Jabong.com.
LÓreal Infallible Makeup Long Lasting Creamy Powder Foundation//I don’t really use it as a foundation, as I am not really into using a powder as a foundation — too drying for me. But it is perfect for setting the makeup. Stays put for long and provider additional coverage when you need it. Does not cake up the makeup, intact helps it not happen!
theBalm Mary-LouManizer Highlighter//Hands down the BEST powder highlighter I have used yet. More info will be there once I review it…soon!
So what are your March favourites!
