There is no doubt that the beauty market in India is quite restricted. We often miss out on products which are being raved about around the world under the coveted title – Holy Grail. Brands like Tarte theBalm, Korres, Laura Mercier, Kevin Aucoin, Real Techniques (at original price..not 10x higher!), and plenty of French pharmacy brands aren’t available.
One of my favorite website for satisfying my import needs is FeelUnique.com. This one is a UK based website which deals in everything Beauty and skin care. I have been a regular customer of this website for more than a year now. I have never ever experience any delay, received any product in less than brand-new condition. I must mention the amazing discounts this website provides. Like right now you can get amazing discount on French pharmacy products.
Needless to say that, where I Love indulging in online shopping, I would really be happy if these products were made available and India. Of course, we now have Sephora but the products there are clearly double the price of what they actually are. And I have no intention of buying a lip-butter that costs 600 bucks for 1200 bucks.
Items shown in above picture are one of the few items that I purchased from FeelUnique.
Items Shown –
- Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentrate
- Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm
- Rimmel Brow Pencil
- Garner Instant Blur Primer
- theBalm Mary-Lou Manizer
- Balm Balm Frankincense Facial Oil
- Rimmel Gimme Brows
- Korres Lip Butter in MANGO
- Korres Lip Butter Glaze in Pomegranate
One thing I really want to mention is that there is really not a single drugstore brand which sells a decent eyebrow product in India. If you’re lucky you might find one made by Deborah Milano or Rimmel London. Of course there is one made by Lakme, which is basically a Kohl kajal packaged as brow pencil.
This is not a rant or an open letter. Just an observation. I hope the brands available in India come around this, pick up their game, and start giving us genuinely good products.
