So, the traditional month end “favourites” post. Off course, I have never been regularly (monthly) posting these favourites posts being a creature of habit. Anyway, I have 10 products that have been my love for the past month. Five of them is skincare, one shower gel, three makeup and one perfume.
The Body Shop Moringa Body Butter and Shower Gel // Do I really need to explain why I love this particular Body Shop Body Butter? Well, because it is very rich and hydrating and it smells like heaven! Of course the shower gel is like any other shower gels…but the smell girls…the smell!
Ponds Gold Radiance Lotion with SPF 15 // Sometimes you try out a product on a whim that has been out there forever, and then you realise ..“Why the heck did I not try this one before?!”. That is exactly what I thought when I first used the Ponds Gold Radiance Lotion SPF 15. This lotion is “da-bom-dot-com”people! It is thick, but not oily. It is not oily, but is very hydrating.
The best thing – check out the ingredient list – top component is Niacinamide. It is THE ingredient in all Korean BB/CC/DD creams and other skincare products. It removes/lightens pigmentation and is considered a pretty effective anti-aging component. It has sure worked wonders on my skin – I swear!! Sidenote – If you do not like even subtle shimmer/gold specs in you moisturiser, skip it.
The Body Shop Nutriganics Cleansing Gel Oil // I mentioned this in my previous post on my favourite Body Shop Cleansers, so I won’t delve on it for long. I love this. It turns from gel base to oil base on rubbing. Removes makeup (waterproof as well) effectively. Makes my skin feel soft and supple.
Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentrate // It is the holy grail makeup base for makeup artists. First time I heard of it from Samantha Chapman of Real Techniques fame on her YouTube channel. Embryolisse is full of fatty acids, vitamins, mineral oil (no, it is not bad for your skin). It makes up for an intensely moisturising base. It is perfect for a use during night time as it has no SPF. I kind of imagine that Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream must be based on the similar design…just sayin’.
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation // broad spectrum, good coverage, decently long stay, great texture, highly bendable, skin finish and illuminating finish. There is nothing that I find wrong with this foundation. One of my favourites, it easily will make top 5 in my forever favourite foundation list. Enough said.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair // considered one of the best serums available out there in the skincare market, this definitely is a gem. Apart from being a very hydrating night time serum for my skin, this has for sure helped me improve the clarity of my skin. I am loving the results this rather expensive serum is providing me with.
Revlon Skinlights Face Illuminator in Bare Light // having a dull skin day?…I have just something to brighten you up…err…I mean you skin. I love this product. Sometimes I would apply it all over my skin under the foundation, sometimes I’ll mix it in a foundation/BB/CC cream and somedays..I might fancy using it as a highlighter on my cheekbones. My favourite shade – Bare Light which is a pale goldy-beige, perfect for any skintone.
Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick in Ruby Tuesday // a blue based pinky-red colour. This lipstick packs a punch in the pigmentation department. I love the way it glides on my lips….so creamy. Despite being creamy, it does not bleed at all. Lasts for ages and makes your lips pop!
I must add that almost all colours in this range are fabulous and worth buying.
Van Cleef & Arpels Oriens // have you smelled Miss Dior Cherie, well this one is very similar but bit more nicer. While it is sweet – strawberries, praline, jasmine (more sweet that floral), it does pack a punch of patchouli, amber and vanilla to give it a more sophisticated edge. I wish I could say it is a close enough dupe for Miss Dior – but are dupes supposed to be a lot more cheaper? If so then it isn’t 😛 😉 – Also …THE BOTTLE!!!
