Being an avid reader, the recent realisation that I have not read a single book in the past year took me by surprise and caused a little bit of guilt.
Getting back to the habit of reading book can be difficult. This is something I registered when I picked up my first after a year of hiatus.
So I started off with the basic – a very girly, young-adult book by Meg Cabot (author ofThe Princess Diaries) called Jinx. Shamefully, it took me a week..A WEEK ..to finish that off!
Anyhow, here is a compilation of my recent adventures in reading (yea sure!).
Jinx by Meg Cabot – if you like romance with a little bit of magic in it…like literally..yep our heroine is a witch, then you might want to give this a try. Not a classic as The Princess Diaries..but nice enough 🙂
The House of Klein by Lisha Marsh – the inside story of Calvin Klein’s climb in the fashion industry, and how he built his empire. Very intriguing, and full of drama, deception, backstage deals and stuff that makes scandals …Oh yeah!
Junk Style by Melanie Molesworth – and amazing book on home decor. It basically gives you brilliant ideas on repurposing discarded and old items. Have to mention the beautiful photography done by Tom Leighton.
Inferno by Dan Brown – I am probably the last person on this bandwagon. I got the book a year ago **shame** and just started reading it. Halfway through it. Like any and every other Dan Brown book, this one i full of puzzles, deception, assassins, murders and some secret so big, that I have to finish it to tell you anything about it 😛
Interpretation of a Murder by Jed Rubenfeld – I am reading this one simultaneously with Inferno. This book is AMAZING! It is a historical fiction book that has Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung as one of its main characters. Set in the beginning of the 20th Century, this is a twisty murder mystery that is a must read. If you like psychological thrillers, this is the one for you.
My New Diary
While looking up for other reads, I, whilst surfing Amazon, for this cute diary by a company called “Doodle”…cute! Loved it..bought it. Then came to know that they have bazillion other cuter designs as well…Oh Well! I love it still. So if you are looking for a new journal or a diary…you can check this one out. Oh!..forgot to mention…the quality, it is excellent. Great binding and nice pages as well. If you are fussy like me and would not write on “just anything“then you can sure try this one out.
