A Multitasking Travel Make Up Bag | Weekend Travel Essentials

Last month my hubby whisked me away for  to a beautiful resort for a sneaky 4 day holiday.
So at such a short notice and also a short trip I conjured up a sort of multitasking makeup bag, that a) shouldn’t take up too much space in my bag, and b) should have products that I can multi-task with.
I did go overboard with lip products with a total of 4 lip colours. But 1 of them, the Lakme 9-to-5 matte in “Blush Work” was in the role of my makeshift blush. In fact, this lipstick SHOULD BE a blush as it’s name suggests, as it is too pale and yellow-ish for lips, it makes my teeth look dirty :/ But as a blush this is fantastic! It gives a beautiful pale-orangey- coral glow to cheeks with tiny bit of golden shimmery-ness!
I carried two other lippies – the Revlon Super Lustrous Matte in Fiery Sunset, a popping orange colour with tiny hints of brick red in it and Revlon Super Lustrous Matte in Pink Paradise which is a coral reddish pink colour. These two for me are the perfect “transition colours” for fall.
Last had to be a deeper berry or red for night out in cohesion with the fall theme, so I chose Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in Big Bang, a heavily pigmented blue based Red
Mascara choice was simple, the Bourjois Volume Glamour Maximum Definition Mascara. I love this mascara to pieces. It gives an amazing volume that is buildable infinitely. The formula of the mascara is pretty wet…therefore making reapplication easy. Only muddle I have with this one is that it burns like acid would if it gets into the eyes.
Eyeliner –Master Precise felt tip eyeliner by Eye Studio -Maybelline. Simple and easy to use.
Eyelash Curlers – by a Korean brand, I can’t recall the name of. 😛
Highlighter/Blush – My favourite at the moment – the Makeup Revolution London Baked Highlighter in Bang Bang Your Dead ðŸ˜€
Eyeshadow Stick + Contour Stick – MUA Colourblast Eyeshadow Crayon – This one multitasked as my eyeshadow base/standalone eyeshadow and an amazing contour colour (when used with a very light hand)
YSL Touche Eclat – as a highlighter and daytime concealer also simply because I don’t leave home without this bugger!
Laura Mercier Secret Concealer – because it is one of the best concealers I have ever used.
Last, for the base – I went with two options, for daytime the Bourjois CC cream in Beige and for night Clinique Even Better  Foundation in Fresh Beige.
The makeup bag was a complimentary gift with purchase from Max Factor – designed and autographed by Gwyneth Paltrow.
So what is in your makeup bag?? 😉
